The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms on a contract with defensive end/outside linebacker Chinanu Ondyematata, according to the team’s official website.
The contract is worth $2.8 million in base salary and an additional $1.9 million in signing bonus, the team announced.
Ondymatata will earn $1 million per game, the Seahawks announced.
The deal will pay him $1,500 per week in base salaries, $500 per game in incentives, $400 per game of special teams incentives, and $100 per game on the practice squad, the site reported.
Odenmele has been a key contributor to the Seahawks’ defense, recording seven sacks and 18 tackles for loss this season.
Odematata was selected in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft out of Boise State by the Seahawks, but he was cut in the first round.
He played sparingly last season before signing with Seattle, recording just seven tackles, three for loss, and two sacks.
Odeh has recorded four sacks this season for the Vikings, including a pair in a Week 5 win over the Bears.
